What we collect, why we have it, and what we never do with it.
Leader in U collects very little. This page says exactly what is collected, what it is used for, how long it is kept, and how to have it removed.
In short
We collect what is needed to do the thing you asked for.
If you take the AI-Era Educator Profile, we keep your responses and your report so it can be shown to you and kept in your account. If you buy a guide, we keep what is needed to complete that order. If you send us a question, we keep the question until it is answered.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing, and we do not track you across other websites. There is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.
Who we are
Leader in U, Auckland, New Zealand.
Leader in U provides practical AI capability programmes, workshops and resources for educators, women at work, parents and families, and schools. This policy covers leaderinu.com and anything you send us through it.

What we collect, and how long we keep it

What we never do
No selling, no ad tracking, no surprises.
Your information is never sold or rented, and it is never shared with anyone for their own marketing. There is no advertising network, analytics tracking or social media pixel on this site.
Your reflection answers are not published, are not shown to other participants, and are not used to make a decision about you by anyone other than you.
Who else can see it
A small number of service providers, and only what they need.
Running the site involves a few providers, each of which sees only what it needs in order to do its job: our web host, which stores the site and its database; the mailing service that sends updates to people who asked for them; and, when a payment is taken, the payment provider.
Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored on this site.
What you can ask us to do
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct it. We will reply within twenty working days.
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your reflection, your report or your whole account.
- Unsubscribe from updates at any time, and ask us to remove your address from the list.
- Use the site without an account. One is only needed to buy a digital product or to keep your reports in one place.
Cookies
Only the ones the site needs to work.
This site sets cookies for the things that have to remember something: staying signed in, keeping items in the cart through checkout, and the standard WordPress and WooCommerce session cookies. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Signing in and the shopping cart will not work without them.
Security
Held in one place, reachable only by us.
Information is stored in this site’s own database with our hosting provider, and is reachable only by signed-in administrators. The connection to the site is encrypted. Passwords are stored as a one-way hash and cannot be read by us.
No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner where the law requires it.
Children and young people
This site is for adults.
The AI-Era Educator Profile, and everything sold here, is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Our resources for parents and schools are about supporting young people, but they do not collect anything from them.
Changes
If this changes, it changes here.
A new version replaces this one on this page, and the date at the top changes with it. Anything material will also be mentioned in the email updates.
