Our story
Nobody should have to sit out a change because nobody explained it properly.
That is the reason Leader in U exists.
Some people seem to handle change effortlessly.
They did not inherit a secret. Adapting is a set of practical skills: noticing what is actually changing, deciding what should stay, learning what matters, and putting the change into the real work rather than the slide deck.
For more than twenty years, our work has sat on that human side of change — leadership, capability, learning, organisational change and people having to do something differently after the strategy is finished.
The bridge
AI is the current change. The work is the same work.
How Leader in U began
Established in 2018.
Leader in U was established in 2018, building on more than two decades of work in organisational development, leadership, learning and change across India and New Zealand. The work has included organisations, leaders, professionals and small business owners — always with the same practical question: what helps people move from knowing about a change to being able to work differently because of it?
Why AI now
We arrived the way many people did.
We did not arrive at AI as people who had always been waiting for the next technology. We arrived the way many people did: testing what it could do, finding where it was confidently wrong, noticing where it saved time and where it created rework, and trying to work out which decisions we should never hand over.
That is why Leader in U does not teach AI as a race to learn tools. We teach practical judgement: understand enough to question it, use it where it adds value, keep the important work human, and build practices that still make sense when the tool changes.
Why these audiences
Learning
Educators
AI changes both professional workload and the conditions of learning and assessment.
Work
Women & Work
AI is changing expectations at work while creating useful new ways to plan, communicate, organise and build.
Home
Parents & Families
Children may be fluent with the interface before they are fluent with judgement. Families need a practical line.
System
Schools
Institutions need coherent capability across people, policy and practice — not just another tool rollout.
Founder
Juhee Sachdev
Juhee brings more than two decades of experience in organisational development, leadership, capability, learning and change across India and New Zealand. Her work has included facilitation, coaching, professional development, transformation and mentoring people building or changing their work.
Her approach to AI is the same approach she brings to change: understand what is actually shifting, protect what matters, practise in the real context, and keep human judgement visible.
Four things we hold to
Human-centred
Human judgement stays visible
AI can support the work. It should not quietly become the person making consequential decisions.
Honest
Say what it is bad at
Credibility comes from limits, not enthusiasm.
Practical
Start where the person is
The real starting point is what someone already does, believes and has tried.
Application
It only counts once it lands
If the learning never reaches a real classroom, workday, business task or family conversation, it has not done enough.
